What's So Bad About Free Trade?
Laissez-faire takes hold at U of A Law School
Why Encourage Small Business?
Hello!
This is the inaugural edition of Canadian Student Review, a newsletter sponsored by The
Fraser Institute for Canadian post-secondary students.
I believe that there is a need among university students for a source of information on
free markets. It's a need that is certainly not filled by any student newspaper today.
We will help set the record straight on free markets. We will look at current issues from
a free market point of view. We will report from campuses on the state of our ivory
towers.
I know the misery of campus newspapers. They're enough to make any student crave an
alternative. Something that will talk with you rather than scream at you. Something that
will discuss ideas rather than exhort dogma. Something that you might find useful in your
studies rather than find stuffed behind a bus seat.
Be warned, we intend to say controversial things, things you may disagree with. But if you
think we're wrong, tell us why. If you have something to say about the role of free
markets, say it through the Canadian Student Review. You can bet we'll listen.
