1999 Private Charitable Generosity Index: Acknowledgements

[Previous] [Contents]

The authors would like to acknowledge the work completed by Johanna Francis on the Generosity Index in previous years. Her initial work established the foundation upon which the current research is based. Without her commitment and effort, the current publication could not have been completed.

We would also like to express our appreciation to Jane Barrett, a Fraser Institute intern, and Donavan Wilson of the National Center for Policy Analysis in Dallas, Texas, a research institute affiliated with The Fraser Institute, both of whom provided invaluable research support to the project.

We would also like to thank Amy Stackpole of the Urban Institute in Washington, DC, and Scott Moody of the Tax Foundation, also in Washington, DC, both of who helped us with data requests.

Thanks are also due to Joel Emes, Patrick Basham, and Martin Zelder for their comments, suggestions, and criticisms. Any omissions or remaining errors are, of course, the fault of the authors. We would also like to express our thanks to Kristin McCahon whose diligence and long hours allowed the publication of this report in a timely fashion.

Finally, we would like to expressly thank the Weston Foundation for their financial and intellectual support of this important and timely project.
