(1)All independent variables are derived from 1996 Census data (aggregated to the Enumeration Area level). Data was weighted according to by-census enumeration area enrolment data provided by Alberta Learning.
(2)Principal Parent (PP) means the female parent in two parent families and the lone parent in single parent families.
(3)** = significant at 99% level; * = significant at 90% level; ns=not significant at 90% level
